Performance Upgrades

Perhaps the most significant way in which the Crosstrek has been updated is that it has a new available engine. The Sport and Limited trims of the Crosstrek get to use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that has considerably more power than the standard 2.0-liter engine. While still being efficient, the 2.5-liter version can generate 182 horsepower, so your regular drives around Richardson, TX will be that much more exciting.

More Choices for Frisco Area Drivers

Another change to the Crosstrek is that it is available in a new trim. The 2021 Crosstrek Sport has been introduced, bringing more of a feel of adventure to the vehicle. The Sport trim has a unique grille, special gunmetal exterior accents, and dark gray wheels. The available Plasma Yellow Pearl paint exclusive to the Sport will definitely leave an impression with anyone who sees this bold color. Inside the cabin of the Sport, the seats are covered in StarTex upholstery, which is water-repellent, and yellow accent and stitching help boost the style.

What sets the Sport apart from the other trims is its capability. It has a few different driving modes to select from as part of its symmetrical all-wheel-drive system. Those modes are Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud; if you ever find yourself in particularly difficult terrain in Carrollton or elsewhere, have confidence knowing that your vehicle will be able to optimize performance in order to keep you moving in the right direction.

Subaru Safety

Many people in Dallas, TX associate Subaru with safety, and it's true that the company really concentrates on this component. On top of the suite of EyeSight Driver Assist Technology components, the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek has the addition of Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering. This system can adjust the vehicle's speed according to the speed of the car in front of you, and because it can "read" lane markings, it can keep you centered where you belong.

There are a few other ways in which the Subaru has refreshed the Crosstrek for the 2021 model year. Its grille and front trim have been slightly tweaked to make the vehicle look more athletic, and new 18-inch machine finished wheels can complete the exterior features nicely.

Interior Features

The Subaru Crosstrek has two comfortable rows of seating, a large cargo area in the back, and the versatility that can make it suited for all sorts of situations. With symmetrical all-wheel drive, the Crosstrek handles itself well. In addition to the base model, Premium, Sport, and Limited trim, there's also a Hybrid trim. It goes without saying that this would be the model to pick if you want to lower your carbon footprint, and the best part is that you don't have to sacrifice anything in return.

The technology package that comes with the new Crosstrek reflects Subaru's commitment to building modern vehicles. Every trim of the Crosstrek has a large touchscreen, along with smartphone compatibility and Bluetooth®. At the Premium level, you also get to have SiriusXM All Access Radio and Wi-Fi capability, and the higher trims can be upgraded with even larger touchscreens, HD Radio, navigation, and a Harman Kardon® high-quality audio system.
