Assigned an entry-level grade, a 2.0L engine block drives the Subaru WRX. This four-cylinder powertrain contains a twin-scroll turbocharger and an inner cooling system. Additionally, the patented BOXER engine takes advantage of the all-new Direct Injection Turbocharged (DIT) design. The high-level trims run on a 2. L turbo powertrain, which also carries the BOXER legacy.

Performance Technology

When taking the WRX out for a drive around Dallas, drivers are amazed by several performance-boosting technologies, such as the Subaru Intelligent Drive.

Offering three custom driving modes, the SI-DRIVE system tunes the throttle for optimum output. This signature technology also regulates the Engine Control Unit and gearbox. Speaking of gears, this sporty Subaru sedan is available with three transmission systems. Six ratios are set up in the fully synchronized manual transmission. A close-ratio function is available for the modified version of the manual gearbox. Additionally, the Sport Lineartronic transmission has eight manual-type settings and the Auto Hold function. All transmissions come with the Incline Start Assist technology that prevents a premature shift in gears on steep hills around Richardson TX

All-Wheel Drive

Rolling on the Continuous All-Wheel Drive, the Subaru WRX is a champion on the track. This high-performance hardware supplements the classic Symmetrical AWD that's been on the market for several generations. Optional in a few trims, the Variable Torque Distribution AWD is tuned for precise acceleration. This agile Subaru sedan also navigates corners with good composure thanks to the Active Torque Vectoring. A center differential is another important installation that boosts the car's AWD.

A 7.0-inch touch screen is included in the WRX's STARLINK infotainment platform. You can easily access Aha, iHeartRadio and Pandora on the user-friendly touch screen. This cool Subaru also keeps occupants in a good mood with upbeat music on SiriusXM All Access as they drive around Frisco and Carrollton. Some trims may be equipped with a nine-speaker sound system by Harman Kardon.
