A 2.4-liter Boxer Engine is turbocharged, giving the Ascent up to 260 horsepower. The standard high-torque Lineartronic® CVT (continuously variable transmission) features an 8-speed manual mode function and steering wheel paddle shifters to help the driver gain more control of the vehicle.

Exterior

With its bold stance, the 2025 Ascent is tough to beat. The large front grille wears glossy black chrome materials, giving off a polished look bound to turn heads. Its standard alloy wheels take a striking stance. Sizes range from 18 to 20 inches, depending on trim level.

The 2025 Ascent offers a variety of seating configurations to fit you and your family best. This family-focused SUV seats up to 8 passengers with available 2nd-row bench seating and 3rd-row fold-down seats. In this configuration, the 60/40 fold-down 2nd row can increase your available hauling space so that you can take everything you need on your adventure. These seats are made to be extra roomy so that everyone feels comfortable and safe no matter how long the drive is. Available 2nd-row captain’s chairs give easy entry into the 3rd-row seating and seating for up to 7 passengers.

Cargo space is generous, with up to 43.5 cubic feet behind the second row. With both the second and third-row seats down, there is an expansive space of up to 75.6 cubic feet.
