A 2.5-liter direct-injection 4-cylinder Boxer engine with 182 hp and 176 lb-ft torque comes standard with the Legacy.  The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to optimize efficiency, and it works. The 18.5-gallon fuel tank allows for a driving range of 640 miles, with the standard engine returning up to 35 MPG on highways and 27 MPG on city streets. You can take on any challenge with the optional turbocharged Subaru 2.4-liter Boxer engine that provides 260 HP and 277 lb-ft of torque. Also paired with the CVT, this drivetrain is good for 31 MPG on the highway and 23 in the city. 

In addition to the all-wheel drive system, Subaru Active Torque Vectoring comes standard in each Legacy. This feature applies light brake pressure to the inside front wheel as you round a sharp corner, providing more power to the outside front wheel and reducing spin for precise handling.

Interior

Customize the Subaru Legacy with eight different cloth or leather materials. The available heated steering wheel and dual-zone climate control enhance the driving experience, making every ride cozy and comfortable. The available 12-way power front driver seat and 4-way lumbar support allow the driver to choose the perfect position for their seat.   

This spacious interior has up to 105.5 cubic feet of passenger volume and 39.5 cubic feet of legroom for the rear passengers, allowing everyone to ride comfortably. Along with being extremely spacious, the cabin is quiet, with an acoustic windshield designed to block out the noise and create a relaxing environment for everyone inside. The crown jewel of the dash is the available 11.6-inch touchscreen that gives the driver access to apps and navigation.  

Technology

Amazingly innovative technology has also been implemented in and around the vehicle’s exterior to enhance your driving experience. With features like Blind Spot Detection, you can be fully aware of your surroundings without ever needing to take your eyes off the road. Subaru STARLINK gives you access to all your favorite technology. Using STARLINK, you can easily perform useful functions from your mobile device. The available 11.6-inch touchscreen comes with updated and improved screen controls for audio.
