The New Subaru Crosstrek

The Subaru Crosstrek offers a completely elevated level of versatility never seen in a hatchback, combined with Subaru's legendary capability and efficiency. It is all the extra fun, extra power and extra capability you could want in the greater Metroplex.
What makes the Subaru Crosstrek the preferred small active lifestyle vehicle for North Texas?
Design
Foremost, the Crosstrek is designed as a versatile compact hatchback, offering maximum capacity and capability for its happy owners. It is also a rugged machine that offers both style and usefulness. Plus, it offers plenty of advantages over other vehicles in its class.
Its 8.7-inch ground clearance provides better clearance of uneven surfaces. The Crosstrek's 63.6-inch overall height with crossbars installed makes it easier for items to be removed from the roof rack system - such as bicycles, kayaks, and oversized camping equipment. In addition, off-roaders will enjoy the Crosstrek's superb angle of approach (18 degrees) and departure (29 degrees) along with its breakover angle (19.7 degrees) when clearing rougher trails. The Crosstrek's new platform rides on a now 70 percent more rigid than the outgoing model, due to new construction of the unit body
Performance
The Crosstrek comes with a 2.0-liter horizontally-opposed Subaru BOXER® engine. It offers 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque, thanks to direct fuel injection. This engine provides ample power for anything it is asked to do, while returning fantastic fuel economy - up to 33 MPG on the highway. Crosstrek customers have a choice of a six-speed manual transmission or the Lineartronic® CVT.
Crosstrek Sport and Limited buyers are treated to a larger 2.5-liter horizontally-opposed Boxer engine, available on Sport and Limited models. With 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque, this larger transforms the Crosstrek into a formidable force off the highway. This engine is available only with the Lineartronic® CVT.
Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive
Only Subaru offers standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive for superb traction all year round. The design of the system is rooted in its horizontally-opposed engines, which provide a lower center of gravity for optimal operation of the system. The AWD system is always on, providing the right ratio of power between the two axles when traction becomes compromised. Combined with X-Mode and Hill Descent Control, the system works to enable more control and performance on inclines and slippery road surfaces.
Cabin Design
Crosstrek drivers will love how well laid out the cabin is. It seats five, plus 20.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats. Fold down the rear seats, and there is 55.3 cubic feet of total cargo space available to bring everything you need for a weekend further up the range. Drivers have great access to a clean instrument cluster, superb controls all around and great vision all around.
Technology
STARLINK is how a Subaru driver communicates, stays informed, and entertains. It is a hub of connected services, now including smartphone connections, such as Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®. Plus, Starlink offers enhanced service offered by SiriusXM, including real-time Traffic reporting. Certain trim levels will include Starlink Safety Plus and Security Plus packages that reports accident information and stolen vehicle tracking. Depending on trim, the touch screen measures to 6.5 or 8.0 inches.
Safety
Subarus are built safe and secure. The Crosstrek is no exception. It all starts with Eyesight, the most advanced driver assistance technology in the automotive industry. It uses stereo cameras to sense the road ahead enabling such features as Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking, Vehicle Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist.
