Forester, WRX Win Residual Value Awards
Do you know what residual value means?
It is one of the determining factors on how a vehicle will be valued over time. The outcome of how much your vehicle is worth when you sell or trade it in is based on how much value is retained over the course of your ownership.
There is one brand that has done exceptionally well over the years in retaining its residual value – Subaru.
For 2022, two Subaru models were also singled out for J.D. Power U.S. ALG Residual Value Awards in their respective categories:
- Forester – Best Compact Utility
- WRX – Best Sports Car
These awards are based on projections of each vehicle to hold the highest percentage of their Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) after a three-year period. For the 2021 model year, each winner is chosen through a careful analysis of each segment and historical vehicle performance and industry trends. This analysis further looks at vehicle quality, production levels relative to demand, pricing, and marketing strategies.
The result is what you see from Subaru’s great lineup. The core of its lineup includes the standard availability of Symmetrical all-wheel-drive, the award-winning EyeSight driver assistance system, and a commitment to your satisfaction while it returns the best value over time.
The Forester gives you the space to roam for up to five passengers. It also delivers on cargo space, performance, and capability. For 2022, the new Forester Wilderness ups the ante in terms of greater ground clearance, an enhanced X-Mode, and a ready-to-play attitude that adds more value to one of the Metroplex’s most popular SUVs.
Enthusiasts know performance when they see the WRX. Along with the STi, this sports compact sedan is an icon that has won rallies and gymkhanas worldwide. For 2022, a new WRX is coming offering a sleeker design and more performance, while retaining all of the values that make it an icon.
