Over 47,000 Shelter Pets Find Loving Homes With Help From Subaru

Approximately 6.3 million pets enter animal shelters each year. Subaru is committed to the safety and health of all animals. Therefore, they have made it their mission to find safe homes for these furry creatures through their Love Promise and Subaru Loves Pets® initiative. Subaru and Subaru retailers are proud to have donated a total of over $44 million to national and local organizations, which has allowed them to aid in the adoption, rescue, transportation, and health of over 400,000 animals. 

Subaru retailers host adoption events all over the country all year long and donate a variety of pet supplies as well as shelter supply kits as part of their efforts to find homes and provide safety for these furry companions. During the Subaru Loves Pets® month this past October, Subaru assisted more than 47,000 sheltered animals find loving furever homes by donating over $1.6 million to 600 shelters. “We’re humbled by the thousands of people who chose to welcome a shelter pet into their homes via our Subaru Loves Pets adoption events,” said Senior Vice President of Marketing for Subaru of America Alan Bethke. “We want to thank our retailers and shelter partners for their support in achieving an incredible adoption milestone and for “making the day” of thousands of dogs, cats, and other adoptable pets.” Subaru pays particular attention to shelter dogs with special needs, or “Underdogs” as they call them, through their annual Make A Dog’s Day campaign.
