Subaru Dominates IIHS Safety Pick+ Awards

Every year the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) hands out awards for the vehicles that did the best in their revolutionary cash testing. They call these awards the Top Safety Pick and the Top Safety Pick+. For nearly two decades, Subaru has had a number of cars winning both awards. This makes Subaru one of the safest automakers in the history of crash testing.

Incredibly, the Outback, Forester, and Legacy have each won the TSP and TSP+ awards for 15, 17, and 18 years in a row, respectively. The Subaru Crosstrek has been featured as a TSP+ winner for six years. In the Top Safety Pick+ category the Ascent has previously been in the Top Safety Pick category for six years in a row. The Impreza 5-door has won four TSP+ awards, including this year. And for the first time, the all-electric Subaru Solterra makes sure to not only be the future of automotive, but also the future of safety.
