​​The 2026 Subaru Trailseeker is an Electric Adventure Vehicle You’ve Been Looking For​ 

Have you seen the new 2026 Subaru Trailseeker?  It is one of the newest members of the growing electric vehicle family we are creating at Subaru. Based on our original EV, the Solterra, the 2026 Trailseeker delivers more space, power, and agility. It may be the EV you’ve been looking for all along.  

It starts with a spacious cabin seating up to five. You also have expansive cargo space, starting with 36.5 cubic feet behind the rear seats and expanding to 74 cubic feet. Think about what you can load up back there – camping gear, that big shopping trip, a tailgate at Globe Life Field, or your furry friends.  

What motivates the 2026 Trailseeker is two electric motors – one located at each axle. Together, they put down 375 horsepower while driving both axles through an electronic Symmetrical all-wheel-drive system. For handling traction in any situation, the 2026 Trailseeker comes equipped with a dual-mode X-MODE management system. You can set it to get through dirt or mud. If we get snow in the Metroplex, X-MODE can be set to handle those conditions, too! For even tougher situations, Grip Control and Downhill Assist Control help create a safer run through rough country. If you ned to bring more stuff with you, the 2026 Trailseeker can tow up to 3,500 pounds.  

Getting through tough conditions can be a challenge. However, the 2026 Trailseeker offers 8.5 inches of ground clearance to tackle roads away from the highway. The four-wheel independent suspension consists of internal rebound springs and a double-wishbone rear set-up. This allows the 2026 Trailseeker to handle rougher and uneven surfaces.  

Delivering energy to the 2026 Trailseeker is a 74.7-kilowatt-hour battery pack. Recharging is done through a native NACS port, although you can get a CCS adapter to charge at tens of thousands of DC Fast Charging stations across the country. At those charging stations, you can return from 10 to 80 percent of your state of charge in as little as 28 minutes. The 2026 Trailseeker Premium is rated to deliver up to 281 miles of range. Limited and Touring models are also rated for a range of 274 miles.
