Why We Love the All-New Impreza

Surprise! Subaru resurrected the Impreza at the LA Auto Show, marking the 30th anniversary of the compact vehicle. The 2024 Impreza made a splash in the midst of an impressive on-stage “rainstorm.” We’re excited to walk you through some of the Impreza’s new features.

Stylish and Practical Hatchback Design

This sixth-generation model comes exclusively in the hatchback version, which proved to be more popular than the sedan option. With Subaru’s focused attention on the 5-door hatchback, the new Impreza offers better safety, power, and design. The new standard roof crossing mounting points provide additional space for your bikes, kayaks, and other gear. Inside the vehicle, you’ll find 120.9 cubic feet of space.

An Affordable Athletic Model

The Impreza gives customers the option of three trim levels. Base and mid-level Sport trims include a 2.0-liter engine and 152 horsepower, while the new sporty Impreza RS provides an even better 2.5-liter engine and delivers 182 horsepower. The sportier RS features dark grey 18-inch wheels and a high-quality black cloth interior with hints of red so you can embrace an athletic lifestyle for less.

Improved AWD

All trim levels include an updated Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system for better handling, efficiency, and response. The new system will transfer power between wheels faster than previous Impreza generations, so you can confidently drive in any condition.

CVT Transmission

All Imprezas come with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), providing a smooth gear-shifting experience. The Impreza Sport and RS include paddle shifters and an eight-speed manual mode. A CVT means better fuel efficiency and less money spent on gas.

Enhanced Safety Technology

Whether during your daily commute or a long road trip, the upgraded driver-assist technology helps you change lanes, steer, brake, navigate traffic, and avoid collisions.
